Hey Kids, Want S’more?

Every Muskoka kid knows what’s in a S’More — chocolate, marshmallow, and crispy honey graham crackers. But do you know where a S’More’s strange name comes from?

MuskokaStyle went to the source: Hershey’s chocolate company, where they make — and eat — a lot of S’Mores.

Hershey’s says: “The first printed S’mores recipe appeared in 1927 in the Girl Scout handbook called, Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts. Folklore tells us the name “S’mores” came about because everyone who tasted one asked for ‘some more!'”

How To Make a S’More:

  1. Roast a large marshmallow slowly over a fire.
  2. Place half a HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar on the HONEY MAID Honey Graham, and then put the roasted marshmallow in the middle. Top with the other graham half.
  3. Wait a bit for your S’More to melt. Then pop it in your mouth!
