Summer Sips: Fruit Infused Water

Fruit infused waters provide a hint of sunshine and subtle flavour in every glass. The good news is that it’s incredibly easy to make refreshing infused water at home.

Fruit infused waters provide a hint of sunshine and subtle flavour…

Start with a large pitcher, mason jar, or pick-up a nifty infusion pitcher. PC Home sells a large $10 infusion jug that’s practical and stylish.

Next, cut up your favourite fruits, herbs, and veggies.  Place in the container; bruise fresh herb leaves (if using).  Pour water over top.  Leave in the fridge overnight – or for at least a couple of hours to chill well.

Remove the fruit (serve it later for snacks or in a chilled fruit salad) and pour.  You’ll enjoy zero calorie, naturally flavoured water all summer long.

Most local produce will stay fresh for two to four days, so simply top up with plain water to make more.
