Stay-At-Home Smoothies

With kids at home, it’s the perfect time to teach them how to make healthy breakfasts all by themselves. A place to start: this easy-peasy, multi-berry Smoothie recipe.

Tip 1: Use frozen berries so that you don’t have to add ice.

Tip 2: Freeze over-ripe bananas so that you have them on hand when the Smoothie-crave strikes.

Tip 3: Add the milk gradually to help regulate consistency, thickness, and taste.

Raspberries

Ingredients

1 heaping cup of frozen mixed berries (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries)

3/4 cup of Yogurt (plain or fruit)

1 cup of your favourite milk (soy, cashew, almond, regular)

1/2 frozen banana (optional)

Instructions

1. Add fruit, yogurt and 1/2 cup of milk to blender. Blend on high power, pouring in remaining milk as needed until desired smoothie texture and consistency is achieved.

2. Extras can be stored in a plastic container in the freezer for up to one month. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

3. That’s it!
